FAQ's

No there is no contract commitment required. You simply sign up to the service and your can use it for as long or as short as you like. You can cancel your service with us anytime you want no questions asked.

We collect in every area once a month. This includes some areas in Wicklow, Meath and Kildare. Email us at customerservice@195.201.2.47 to see if we service your area!

You can cancel your service with us anytime you want no questions asked. You can even keep your bag in case you want to use the service again

If you need you Glass Bottle Bag collected sooner please just click HERE and you will be able to request a collection and we will do our best to fit you in

We offer customers a 50L bag to store their glass in. If you need more, get in touch as it’s only an extra 2 euro for an additional bag

Your bag will be collected monthly in accordance with our Google Calendar here – https://glassbag.ie/pages/glass-bag-collections-monthly-calendar

We do no offer telephone support. All payments can be made via our website. If your a current customer and have missed a payment, login to your Account Dashboard and you can make an outstanding payment. 

Once you have signed up to our glass bottle recycling service, we will come and pick up your glass in whatever vessel you have handy and then leave you back with a new bag for next month.

Currently we cover Dublin City, Dublin County. And some of Wicklow, Meath and Kildare

That’s no problem at all, you don’t have to fill the bag. Your Glass Bottle recycling bag will be collected every month.

Yes we provide offices with Glass Bottle Recycling Bags. You sign up to our recycling service the same way as a residential customer. We will look after the rest. 

Nope you don’t have to go to your local glass bottle recycling center any more. Just pop your glass bottles in your Green Glass Bottle Recycling Bag and we will look after the rest! Well, obviously you will have to put the bag out on your collection day, but that is it.

We currently do no offer our service outside of Co. Dublin. But if you think we should be servicing your area and we are not, please just get in contact with us.

The mixed glass we collect is transported to a recycling plant. Mixed glass, also known as cullet, is recycled by first being sorted by color. The glass is then cleaned and crushed into small pieces called cullet. The cullet is then melted down and formed into new glass products.

Last year, it may have been a soft drinks bottle, the year before a jam jar, or even a whisky bottle. Who knows? Currently the Glass Industry has the ability and capacity to recycle millions of tonnes of glass per year, as well as glass being able to be indefinitely recycled without compromising it’s quality.

A Little bit about us.

GlassBottleBin.ie is owned by Glass Bag Recycling Ltd. Itwas conceived as a concept in 2018 when one of its owners was fed up having to go to the bottle bank with bags and bags of Glass (Wine) Bottles. If he was a bit more organised he might have gone every week but sure he is a man and that wouldn’t be possible.

As much as he enjoyed getting out of his busy house away from the children for an hour, he just couldn’t be bothered. He liked the build up of bottles on his kitchen worktop, which then migrated to the back garden, which inevitably got wet in the rain.

So he went into work one morning complaining about this major problem he was having in his life to his business partner Rob.

Rob made a face at him, turned him on his heels and marched him out to his own car. He ushered him to his passenger door and then opened it. And would you believe, there on his back seat was an old washing basket full off glass bottles, beside which was an old steel bag also filled with bottles. 

This is the moment that gave birth to the idea of GlassBottleBin.ie
